I think they got to Bergen by boat from Newcastle. The Leeds players experienced snow when they went from Bergen to Oslo by train. Three games were scheduled in May 1939, but only two were played.

Friday, 12th May 1939: Leeds United vs Oslo XI (a combined team from Oslo's local teams) (2-0) 2-0. Attendance aprox 6,000. The game was played at the national arena: Ulleval Stadion and Kolben Daehlen (Skeid) was the Referee.

Leeds started best, but the game was not so intense as was expected. Leeds were a class apart, but play consisted of many long balls to the three forwards. Leeds took the lead after twenty-one minutes when Jack Hargreaves went on a solo run which got him into a scoring position before scoring with a good shot. He was also involved with the second Leeds goal, slotting a perfect through ball into the path of Gordon Hodgson, who doubled the Leeds lead to see them go in two goals to the good at half-time. There were no further goals in the second half
